This article describes an experimental study on the relationship between the heat transfer coefficient h and the standard deviation of velocity of the freestream u' in stagnation flow. The flow is perpendicular to a flat surface with «' measured at the center of the jet between 1.5-3.3 m/s. The data show a linear relationship between h and u'. Also, the data compare favorably with heat transfer data in the presence of high freestream turbulence reported by other investigators.
