Ships are important reconnaissance targets. With advances in maritime multi-platform joint surveillance and combat, research on multi-platform inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging of ships has increased since the concept of rotating target imaging was introduced. Current methods require precise platform altitude and orientation based on estimated target motion parameters to ensure continuous data integration. However, real-world reconnaissance complexity and ship movements make precise positioning and accurate motion estimation difficult, often leading to incomplete data collection. Considering this issue, a new multi-platform ISAR imaging method for ships with complex motion from incomplete data is proposed, improving applicability in complex conditions and enhancing imaging resolution. Simulation experiments have confirmed its effectiveness.
