With its geographical position and the effects of the Mediterranean climate, North Cyprus is an important center of tourism, especially for the Middle East and European countries. The rich historical background of Cyprus, together with the effects of different cultures and Mediterranean culture of living resulted in quite a lot of demand, mainly on culture tourism. The accommodation places in North Cyprus, the number of which is rising every year, are mostly on the coasts, close to towns, and are multi-story large-scale hotels of international standards. However, small scale accommodations, suitable for culture tourism, and prevalent all over the world in recent years, are in preference in North Cyprus as well. Accommodations, especially in the countryside and integrating with the seaside, and within city centers, which harbor the historical texture, presenting and cherishing the natural characteristics and life culture of the island to the visitors, are constantly increasing in number, although not sufficient yet. The locations of the two accommodation types in natural environment, which we have sampled in the research, their construction materials, forms and functional characteristics, their places within local architectural character, and their interior furnishings realized with authentic furnishing elements characteristic of Cyprus, cherish and present the cultural wealth of North Cyprus to the visitors of culture tourism.
