DIAGRAMMER and BOLOCATE are microcomputer programs designed to facilitate data input and execute analyses of cotton ( Gossypium hirsutum L.) fruit location maps. These programs assist instruction on reproductive development of cotton. However, a basic understanding of cotton reproductive morphology is required prior to their use. Both programs have step‐by‐step instructions for ease of use. BOLOCATE is a companion program of DIAGRAMMER that uses the plant maps input with DIAGRAMMER. The programs analyze single or composite plant maps from any of three perspectives: time, mainstem nodes, and reproductive branch nodes. The programs are written in BASIC and operate, on IBM PCs, XTs, ATs, or compatible machines with 128K RAM, a color or monochrome monitor, and a printer.
