The resonant frequencies of the charged scalar and Dirac fields in the near extremal Kerr–Newman black hole are studied. It is found that the expressions of the resonant frequencies for the charged scalar and Dirac fields with purely real δ are different because the parameters q s are different and the imaginary part has opposing symbol for the two fields. It is also shown that the long-lived resonant frequencies depend on the angular quantum numbers l and m.
