A significant number of construction failures and collapses occur during the construction phase, and in most of the cases, these failures involve the temporary structures. An important reason of such accidents, which often is neglected, is disregarding the temporary structures in project risk management process. For this very important reason, we have developed a methodology for a dynamic, multi-scale and multi-perspective risk management of construction projects where temporary structures were given importance as well. This method is based on the application of tailor-made risk breakdown structures (RBSs) which are well adapted to (1) the stage and degree of development of project, (2) specific requirements and objectives of project stakeholders and (3) the required level of details. In this paper, the proposed methodology is presented then explained on how the initial version of the database with three interactive components of risk events, risk categories and micro trees can be extended to cover the risks related to the temporary structures. Furthermore, we discussed the application on how the designed tailor-made RBSs can be used for a more effective and dynamic process of project risk management in real cases.
