A novel method has been developed to synthesize porous single‐crystal‐like In 2 O 3 nanostructures with a high specific surface area of 62.6 m 2 /g without any template. The method, which can be described as facile, template free, and large scale in production, involves synthesizing the precursor through a simple solvothermal process and further annealing in a furnace. X‐ray diffraction, electron microscopy, N 2 adsorption–desorption measurements, and other techniques were used to characterize the porous single‐crystal‐like In 2 O 3 materials. The possible formation mechanism was discussed.
