The stability of modulated Couette flow is studied by modulation of the angular velocity, {Ω}, of the inner cylinder according to {Ω}={Ω}{}[1+{ε} cos({ω}t)], where {Ω}{} is the mean angular velocity of rotation. {ω} is varied for several radius ratios, and {ε} is varied for one radius ratio. The results are compared to earlier experimental and theoretical results.
