The transition probability of the 1¹S₀-2³P₁ transition has been measured in the heliumlike ions O⁶⁺ and N⁵⁺. The results are (5.2 ±{} 1)×{}10⁸ sec^-1 and (1.7 ±{} 0.3)×{}10⁸ sec^-1, respectively. They agree well with very recent calculations.
