Five different methods for presenting raindrop size data graphically are discussed. The various methods were developed to help determine the form and estimate the parameters of the drop size distribution functions, even for small sample sizes with the associated problems of size classification and sampling variability. Each method provides a different view of the drop size distribution and each has certain advantages. Plots of cumulative number or mass concentrations with size are the most useful in determining the form and estimating the parameters of the size distribution functions. Those plots are also helpful in examining the question of possible truncation of the distributions at some maximum size.
