A review of eighty‐three venous stasis ulcers which had healed during sixty‐nine consecutive admissions to hospital was undertaken. Previous treatment of varicose veins by surgery or sclerotherapy had an adverse effect, but concurrent surgical treatment of the veins appeared to influence the prognosis favourably.
