In response to Congressional requests that it study the implications of the wide-spread use of DNA-based CF (cystic fibrosis) carrier tests, the Office of Technology Assessment published the report Cystic Fibrosis and DNA Tests: Implications of Carrier Screening (Washington: OTA; 1992).
