Of these men 4 had detrusor pressures at maximum flow of 70cm. water or more with significantly more trabeculation, and 8 had normal voiding pressures (50 to 69cm. water) and less trabeculation. The detrusor response to primary bladder neck obstruction is variable but, if the detrusor pressure is sustained, normal pressures may be associated with clinical obstruction. © 1982 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byYang S, Wang C, Hsieh C and Chen Y (2018) α1-Adrenergic Blockers in Young Men With Primary Bladder Neck ObstructionJournal of Urology, VOL. 168, NO. 2, (571-574), Online publication date: 1-Aug-2002.Kumar A, Mandhani A, Gogoi S and Srivastava A (2018) MANAGEMENT OF FUNCTIONAL BLADDER NECK OBSTRUCTION IN WOMEN: USE OF α-BLOCKERS AND PEDIATRIC RESECTOSCOPE FOR BLADDER NECK INCISIONJournal of Urology, VOL. 162, NO. 6, (2061-2065), Online publication date: 1-Dec-1999.
