The thickness dependence of the average composition in electroplated cylindrical Ni–Fe films was determined from a measurement of the torsional strain sensitivity. It was found that from 200–2500 Å the average Ni fraction varied about 4% which is considerably less than that previously reported for flat films. It is attributed to the extremely high agitation which can be achieved conveniently in the wire plating geometry.
