Analytical expressions are derived for the two leading terms in the Z expansions of the multipole polarizabilities and shielding factors of all members of the helium sequence. The derived numerical values of the octopole and hexadecapole polarizabilities are in excellent agreement with the estimates of Stewart (1961).
