Two samples of PVC of different stereoregularity were elation fractionated by using the eyclohexanone‐ethylene glycol system under various experimental conditions. Inversions of viscosity in the less soluble fractions were shown in some cases and were found to be related to crystallinity effects. They were eliminated by operating at high temperature and by precipitating the polymer on the support by rapid cooling of the solution. Some data are reported on the M.W.D. of the fractions which seem to indicate a satisfactory efficiency of the fractionation method used.
