May support combined antiarrhythmics and atrial pacing for recurrent VF in WPW; hypothesis-generating and should not yet change practice.
Summary: A patient with type B Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome developing recurrent ventricular fibrillation is presented. Frequent ventricular premature beats preceded the onset of ventricular fibrillation which occurred on five occasions. A combination of lignocaine, practolol, procaineamide and atrial pacing suppressed the recurrence of ventricular premature beats and ventricular fibrillation.
