The element α 33 ( H ) of the thermoelectric power tensor for bismuth has been measured at five temperatures between 15 and 37 K, and in magnetic fields up to 40 G. The analysis of the experimental data is based on the expansion of 4aL 33 ( H ) to second order in H . The coefficients in this expansion are calculated from the theory of Korenblit. Disagreement with the experimental results is found.
