Experimental observations of microwave reflection from and transmission through a magnetized plasma slab are reported. The incident wave has a frequency below the second cyclotron harmonic and an electric field perpendicular to the static magnetic field. It is found that the reflection and transmission coefficients exhibit a resonant structure due to longitudinal wave resonances in the interior of the plasma. The observations are shown to be consistent with a theory based on the Pearson equations.
