Four new species of Tarsonemus are described and illustrated: T . ips , T . triarcus , T . subcorticalis , and T . endophloeus . All are subcortical associates of bark beetles in conifers. A key is provided to distinguish these species and other tarsonemids which commonly coexist in habitats provided primarily by ipine bark beetles.
