I am writing about the article about lower extremity lymphedema in the May 10 issue. I feel the article is somewhat misleading in that physical therapy is mentioned only for active treatment using complex decongestive therapy. I am certified as an Occupational Therapist to treat this condition as well. There are also Certified Massage Therapists trained to treat this condition. I appreciate the opportunity to give this additional information to OT's readers. Thomas P. Hartigan, OTR Rutland Regional Medical Center, Rutland, Vermont
