The authors report measurements of detached electron energy spectra yielded in H - collisions with He, Ar, H 2 , N 2 , O 2 and CO 2 in the energy range from 4.5 eV to 4 keV. This work allows in particular the study of the dynamics of charge exchange to shape resonances in H - -N 2 , CO 2 and O 2 collisions. No charge exchange is observed for H 2 . Further spectroscopic information on O 2 - is obtained.
