Halide-driven partial and complete exchange of Pb ²⁺ and Sn ²⁺ occurred deliberately. It is found that more Pb ions originated from the Pb–Br species to form Pb–OA complexes. Such halide exchange reaction opened the octahedral structure of CsPbBr ₃ NCs.
