We read with great interest the recent infographic on the management of Achilles tendon of ruptures in which the authors suggested, among other things, which pathway to follow (nonsurgical vs surgical).1 We would like to point out a few fundamental flaws in the infographic. In the section on “Injury findings,” a pop is not a finding: it is the (often audible) sensation that can be reported by the patient. There is no scientific evidence that the “popping,” although frequently reported by patients, is diagnostic of Achilles tendon tears.
