By post-annealing the as-prepared CoPt/SiO/sub 2/ samples with the atomic ratio of Co: Pt=47.5: 52.5, high coercivity H/sub c//spl ap/14 kOe was obtained at room temperature. TEM and XRD revealed the ordered fct (L1/sub 0/) structure with the lattice constant ratio c/a=0.97 in the granular films with the average grain size around 10-20 nm. The grain size and packing density effect on coercivity are also discussed.
