SUMMARYAg-Sb layers of 18 and 45 μm thicknesses have been electrodeposited from a ferrocyanide thiocyanate bath. These electrodeposits exhibit spiral shaped surface structures and a laminated layer structure. X-ray diffraction investigations of the structure and texture with pole figure analysis show that the electrodeposits have a fibre texture of f.c.c. <111> and a small volume of hexagonal <001> orientations. The f.c.c. phase has an expanded lattice parameter of 4.11 Å. Room temperature resistivities of 25 and 95 μΩ—cm were observed for the samples of 18 and 45 μm thickness respectively. The temperature coefficient of resistivity is negative in the temperature range of 30 and 300 K, and an anomaly in the resistivity versus temperature curve in a temperature range of 220 to 240 K is observed.
