The article discusses the need to introduce a specialized Chinese language course adapted for students of technical universities. In the course of the study, we proved that the student contingent of the designated category of higher educational institutions has special types of intelligence (according to Gardner). Based on this theory, we have developed and proposed a method for studying and memorizing terms in Chinese, which is used at the initial stage of language learning in a nonlinguistic university. The article offers an analysis of the results of the implementation of this technique. In addition, the article substantiates the prospects and expediency for Russian education of training personnel who speak Chinese: from school teachers, university teachers to engineers.
