Measurements of the 90 deg yield of gamma rays resulting from proton capture. at energies up to ll Mev, in B/sup 11/ and Al/sup 27/ were made. In both cases the gamma rays investigated were those leading to the ground and first excited states (4.43 and l.78) of the residual nuclei, C/sup 12/ and S/up 28/ The results of the B/sup 11/(p, gamma )/sup 12/2 reaction are reported principally. Gamma rays were detected in a 5-inch diameter by 6-inch long unshielded Nal(Tl) crystal. (W.D.M.)
