A theory of the eddy-current-limited complex permeability of ferromagnetic sheet is presented that takes account, for the first time, of the rotational permeability of domain interiors as well as wall motion. Models with contrasting domain structure are investigated; these are found to behave similarly when the domain dimensions and static permeabilities are similar. Comparison is made with measurements on iron over the frequency range 500 c/s-30 Mc/s. Good agreement with the present theory is obtained.
