THE relationship between cystic fibrosis (also referred to as "fibrocystic disease of the pancreas") and the abnormal meconium in neonatal meconium ileus is well established. Except for a few case reports, however, little has been written concerning the problems of intestinal evacuation that may occur later in the course of the disease.
