Photoluminescence and electroluminescence of iridium( iii ) complexes with 2′,6′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-2,4′-bipyridine and 1,3,4-oxadiazole/1,3,4-thiadiazole derivative ligands

Highly efficient OLEDs based on green and orange iridium( iii ) complexes based on 2′,6′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-2,4′-bipyridine and 2-(5-(4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenol show peak current efficiencies of 74.8 and 41.0 cd A ⁻¹ , respectively, with low efficiency roll-off.
