Four adult cases of Gaucher's disease are described and several unusual X-ray features are noted. Two of these cases showed the presence of a periosteal reaction, a finding hitherto regarded as exceptional. One case showed an unusual foam-like bone pattern of peculiar uniformity. Spontaneous fractures occurring in Gaucher's disease may do so in bone which appears to be normal on X-rays. The X-rays of five children with Gaucher's disease were examined and no abnormality was found in the skeleton. Various conclusions are drawn and discussed. The literature of Gaucher's disease is reviewed and reference is made to unusual findings.
