The influence of pigments with various chemical and structural constitutions on the crystallization process of massdyed polypropylene is investigated. For following and recording the isothermic crystallization of dyed PP‐films the IR‐absorption technique has been applied. The Avrami exponent for dyed PP is in the range between 2.3 to 2.9. The crystallization process of dyed PP is mainly determined by the time‐dependent occasional formation of crystal nuclei.
