Why the study?
Is platelet G protein function altered in patients with congenital long QT syndrome compared to normal controls?
Is platelet G protein function altered in patients with congenital long QT syndrome compared to normal controls?
Patients with congenital long QT syndrome exhibit decreased platelet Gi protein function, suggesting a potential pathophysiological link.
Decreased platelet Gi function may reflect systemic signaling defects in congenital long QT syndrome; this case-control result leaves open any arrhythmogenic role.
