The range of fully stripped relativistic nitrogen, neon, and argon nuclei have been measured in polyethylene, polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), aluminum, copper, and lead. The heavy ions were produced by the Princeton Particle Accelerator and had energies ranging up to 284 MeV/amu. The measured results are compared with calculations derived from similar data for protons and good agreement is found at the 1-3% level.
