Feminist therapy developed largely in response to what many women viewed as hurtful, oppressive, and destructive in more traditional forms of psychotherapy. The study reported here explores the nature and practice of this newly emerging mode of therapy and is based on interviews with therapists who identify themselves as feminist therapists.
