The momentum autocorrelation function of a particle in a one-dimensional box is calculated both classically and quantum mechanically. The classical function is found by using the eigenfunctions of the Liouville operator for the system. The quantum-mechanical function is calculated and shown to be a non-analytic function of ℏ.
