O4′-Nor-2′,3′-dideoxy-2′,3′-didehydronucleoside 5′-triphosphates (acyclo-d4NTP) have been shown to have the properties of effective termination substrates for DNA biosynthesis, catalyzed by several different DNA polymerases.
