evidence was adduced on which was based the theory that the glucose which was degraded by blood corpuscles during glycolysis was so changed at the surface of the cell. In the present paper, the writer has further investigated the mechanism involved, and presents data relating to the intervention of organic phosphorus, the influence of ions, and the degradation of some stereoisomers of glucose.
