The Green's function method proposed by Korringa, and Kohn and Rostoker, is modified to include spin‐orbit coupling. The formalism follows Korringa's work, and involves solving the two‐dimensional Pauli equation with the condition that the wave function be continuous. The computer time needed is comparable to the case in which spin is not included, as the structure constants are the same in both cases.
