The electrical circuit of a Blumlein-line N2 laser was studied theoretically and experimentally. The experimental data confirm the theoretical results and lead to calculation of the inductance and resistance of the ignition system and laser tube, respectively. A sufficient number of ions in the laser tube before the breakdown secures the stability of the light pulses. Therefore, the increase of the efficiency of the system was discussed. The inductances of the ignition system and the laser tube play a determinative role in the best performance of the system. Finally, the increase of the light output by converting the double line to a quadruple one is attributed to the putting of higher electrical energy into the laser tube and for a proper time duration.
