Why the study?
Does continuation of antiplatelet therapy prevent stent thrombosis in DES-implanted patients undergoing surgery?
Does continuation of antiplatelet therapy prevent stent thrombosis in DES-implanted patients undergoing surgery?
Continuing antiplatelet therapy during surgery in patients with prior DES implantation may prevent perioperative stent thrombosis and related severe cardiac events.
May support continuing antiplatelet therapy in DES patients undergoing surgery; hypothesis-generating and requires prospective validation.
