The fundamental master equation for the probabilities of various atomic distributions over lattice sites in an alloy is used to develop theoretical description for the alloy configurational kinetics. Exact equations for the temporal evolution of the local concentrations and correlators as well as for the nonequilibrium alloy free energy are presented. Methods for the approximate treatment of these equations are discussed.
