Relaxation processes in assemblies of magnetic particles are treated within a general master equation formulation. The interaction between the particles is taken into account in a simple way. The influence of the anisotropy field distribution and the volume distribution of the particles of the magnetization curve and the relaxation behaviour is investigated.
