Considering transient sources of eigenstress as generalized loading, Maysel's integration method for quasistatic problems of the linearized theory of Thermoelasticity is extended to Dynamics: The dynamic eigenstrain problem is connected to the dynamic stress tensor due to an appropriate system of dummy forces by means of an integral statement. This simple expression, which follows from a problem-oriented application of D'Alembert's principle, is not restricted to the infinite body, but is valid also for bodies with both rigidly clamped and traction-free boundaries.
