Satisfaction questionnaires for service users remain in development. Whilst different from patient reported outcome measures, assessing and monitoring service user satisfaction is a recognised quality indicator of use for commissioning clinical services. Adaptation of a US measure into a UK clinical service was successful in identifying service user satisfaction with two specialist clinical services for sexual-, relationship- and gender-related problem areas. Seventy-eight percent of gender clinic service users and 84% of relationship and sexual clinic service users expressed being satisfied or very satisfied with the service. The potential value for clinical teams in reviewing returns of satisfaction questionnaires from service users is discussed.
