SUMMARY A differential low-frequency ultrasonic cell which covers the frequency range from 500 kHz to 36 MHz is described. Attenuation coefficients from 0.05 to 15 db/cm are measurable with an average deviation of 1.8%. Differential velocities which agree with the literature to within 0.2% may also be measured.
