A passive three-branch waveguide power divider has been fabricated by titanium diffusion into a Y-cut LiNbO3 substrate and characterized. Control of power distribution was achieved by modifying index values in the branches through the deposition of a dielectric cladding over the outer branches. Experimental results are presented and compared with previous theoretical predictions based on single-mode propagation.
