Natural convection mass transfer between the inner surface of a horizontal tube and a liquid was studied using an electrochemical technique involving the deposition of copper from acidified copper sulphate solution. The data were correlated in the range 7.7 × 107 < Sc.Gr < 1.16 × 1011 with the equation Sh = 0.325 (Sc.Gr)0.28
