Rose‐like Bi@N‐doped carbon nanocomposite was fabricate by a facile hydrothermal method, followed by polydopamine coating for different time and subsequent carbonization for the first time. Structural and morphological characterization shows that Bi@N‐doped carbon nanocomposite have a homogeneous rose‐like structure, with crystallized Bi nanoparticles embedded homogeneously in the carbon matrix. The optimal Bi@N‐doped carbon nanocomposite used as anode for rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) presents a reversible capacity of 712 mAh g −1 for initial cycle at a current density of 200 mA g −1 and exhibits outstanding cyclability with a capacity of 535 mAh g −1 after 450 cycles at 200 mA g −1 . The outstanding electrochemical performance of the Bi@N‐doped carbon nanocomposite can be ascribed to the synergetic effects of various factors including the unique rose‐like structure, nano‐sized Bi particles and nitrogen doping carbon matrices.
